Projects include work using:(To Be Updated)

AutoCAD® by AutoDesk®

Since: 2004

AutoCAD has been used on projects ranging from simple machine designs up through large home designs on different land gradients. This also includes considerations for property borders as well as internal heating and cooling (HVAC), and piping considerations.

Other projects include automotive designs such as concept cars and wheels.
Microstation V8i® by Bentley®

Since: 2010

InRoads® by Bentley®

Since: 2011

The knowledge of InRoads began with creating topographic maps for Surveying.

The use of the software became more prominent for the use of design of Highway systems. Not only was the overhead layout of highways taken into consideration, but also design for the vertical curves with cut/fill, and considerations of curve lengths with respect to superelevation according to different DOT design standards.
Cube Voyager® by Citilabs®

Since: 2012

The use of Cube began in Transportation Engineering. Initial projects were simple travel time grids, where simple traffic flow times were taken into consideration and the shortest route by time was created by using different programming commands.

Later, more advanced projects included a proposed bridge in Baltimore which would provide more people to commute from outside the city, as well as provide more goods to be imported and exported. Cube Voyager was used to determine the number of lanes in each direction that would be required for a level of service: C. Cost analysis was then compared for Benefit/Cost for the bridge over the next 10 years.
VISSIM® by PTV Vision ®

Since: 2012

VISSIM software was used to develop a mitigation strategy for Traffic Engineering. Existing data was taken from PEMS for a section of SR-60 Eastbound between Fullerton Blvd and Nogales St and calibrated with the software. Calibrations included lane merging, free flow speed, cars entering and exiting the freeway, and HOV lanes. After calibration, a mitigation strategy was created in order to reduce traffic slowing.
Synchro® by Trafficware®

Solidworks® by Dassault Systemes®

Since: 2008

Before switching to Civil Engineering, Collin was part of the Engineering Tech program at Cal Poly Pomona. During his short time in the program, he learned Solidworks. Using the software, he leared to make 3D drafts of small machines and mechanisms.
