About Collin Brown:

Collin Brown is a Graduate of California State Polytechnic University Pomona. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in the field of Civil Engineering in December of 2013. Collin also has his Engineering in Training certification

Collin hopes to eventually continue his education to obtain a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.

Interests and Goals:

The desire to study structural engineering stemmed from a passion of two different interests; a deep interest in old buildings, towers, and bridges, as well as a love of auto racing. This has inspired Collin to develop his own concepts pertaining to these interests.

Collin hopes to develop his skills in structural design as well as transportation design to be able to work on projects he’s passionate about.

Some of the projects Collin hopes to work on in the future include doing structural design for race car roll cages and chassis, structural design to retrofit an old warehouse or factory to function as a home and personal business, as well as design race tracks.

Outside of school and work Collin has been training in mixed martial arts since the age of 16 and currently practices at Villatoro Bushido Martial Arts

Collin is also active in the automotive community as a member of the Inland Empire Miata Owners, the Sports Car Club of America, and moderates LA-IE Miatacross Facebook group.
